DONATE ITEMS TO OUTREACH CENTER OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

Your donated household items are NEVER sold. We find families in need and provide your donation to them free of charge. In many cases we deliver right to their home. Through our exclusive voucher system we find and qualify families right here in our community who have very legitimate needs. Every person or family who receives aid from The Outreach Center has been truly qualified, including a "Home Visit". We physically go to the home of the applicant to see firsthand if they have a legitimate need before they are approved.

We take your donation seriously. We will not sell any item that has been donated for the purpose of helping the needy. You may rest assured we operate with the highest integrity. We are here for one purpose - to help people.

WHAT WE ACCEPT

It is our policy to give away clean working items. We accept most household items, necessity items are preferred: Sofas, recliners, beds, dressers, lamps, bedding, linens, kitchen items, dishes, tables and chairs, refrigerators, washers and dryers. We also accept cars and give them to families in need. All items must be on good working condition, as we don’t have the resources to repair items. If your family dog or cat had his favorite spot on the sofa we probably wouldn’t want to take that sofa away from him. Although knick-knacks and pictures are nice, we stick to the necessities. Which brings us to garage sale items. We don’t pick up leftover garage sale items. Think about it… if you did not want it, and you tried to sell it… and nobody wanted it… we wouldn’t want to give it away either. But more realistically we simply don't have space to store knick-knacks or the means to dispose of them when no one wants them. CALL US BEFORE YOU HAVE A GARAGE SALE. That’s real giving. A great prophet once said, “I will not give something that cost me nothing…” The people we help have real needs. They are trying to make it, they just need a small boost. Your quality donations tell them that someone really cares, which in turn gives them them encouragement (Hope) to press on.

Q. Will you pick up estates?
A. Yes. Provided the items fit into our accepted items category.

Q. Will you take the good with the bad?
A. No. We operate on a very tight budget. We do not have the resources to dispose of excess items.

Q. Do you take clothing?
A. Yes, if it is of good quality and clean with no odors. (Smoke, food, etc.)

Q. Do you charge to pick up items?
A. No. However, you may give a financial donation towards our operational cost if you choose.

Q. Can I give cash to the driver?
A. Yes. Our drivers are trustworthy and of the highest integrity. They will give you a receipt.

SCHEDULE A PICK UP

donation pick ups We will come to your house and pick up items at no cost to you. However, because we operate on limited funds we request that you read "What We Accept" and make sure the item you would like to donate is something we can use. It is our desire to give away clean items in good working condition. After you have reviewed our policy pick up the phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week and leave a message. We will call back and schedule an appointment within 24 hours Monday - Friday.
